was born in Dominica, an eastern Caribbean island where he grew up climbing mountains, fishing, swimming and being
outdoors. He graduated from college in 2004 and moved
to the US in 2005. He came to Solar Youth through the Public Allies program. His favorite
color is green and he is a musical artist who does poetry
and drumming. |

Beth Studley

Beth heard about Solar Youth through her Environmental
Education graduate program at Southern CT State University. Beth
thinks that Solar Youth is a great opportunity to learn
from youth, explore the outdoors, and be crazy! Her passions include music, youth, the environment, and teaching. |

Maggie Dressel - Environmental
Educator
Maggie graduated
from Barnard College with a degree in Urban Studies and concentrations in Education
and Environmental Science. She is so excited to combine
her passions for cities, youth, and the environment in her
work at Solar Youth. A native of Virginia, Maggie loves animals, the color
pink, and baking! |

Vanessa Kauffman

Educator
Vanessa moved from Philadelphia to join the Solar Youth family after graduating from Temple University with a BS in Political Science. Besides enjoying teaching, learning and being silly with youth, Vanessa loves all things green, being adventurous outside, reading and honey bees! She also has a new found talent for paddleball. |

Curtis Lemieux - Environmental
Educator
Curtis “Big C” Lemieux graduated from Boston University’s School of Education, Curtis spent a semester with the National Outdoor Leadership School before working professionally for the YMCA. He enjoys skiing in the Winter, hiking in the Spring, camping in the summer, and resting in the fall! His favorite color is blue and he wears collared shirts. |
