What were the experienced that shaped you as a child? That camping trip with your family? Going to a sleep away camp and being away from your parents for the first time? That first trip across the country?
A lot of our youth don’t have the opportunity to have these life changing moments, so at Solar Youth, we make it a priority to connect them to organizations that can give them an experience of a life time. Three of our most dedicated youth are embarking on a journey across the country, to explore the Rockies with a camp called American Wanderers. Spending two weeks travelling through Montana, South Dakota, Wyoming, and Colorado in an RV, the youth would have the chance to explore the most wondrous sights in the country, all while building friendships with youth from all over the world. For these three, this is a life-changing opportunity. But they need your help to make it happen! They are raising all of their own tuition and airfare, and are counting on FOSY to make their dream come true. Damaris, a shy and sensitive 12 year old girl who is a member of Solar Youth’s prestigious Leaders in Training, is dying to go on this adventure. “I would love to participate in American Wanderers because it would be a once in a life time opportunity to explore the world and have the best time of my life.” Visit Damaris's Fundraising Page
